An investigation is underway following a two-vehicle collision in Highlands East.
Haliburton OPP says they responded to the crash on Friday along Loop Road, at approximately 2:20 p.m.
According to police, their initial investigation revealed that a passenger vehicle attempted to conduct a U-turn in front of a dump truck that was travelling southbound along the road.
Police say the driver of the passenger vehicle, 58-year-old Danny Linkert from Highlands East was killed by the crash.
The OPP Technical Collision Investigators attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
