The Bancroft Family Health Team has received an $88,000 grant to help buy new equipment.
The Community Futures Development Corporation of North & Central Hastings and South Algonquin has provided the funds.
Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio says this will allow the health team to give North Hastings residents access to specialists without leaving the area by using telemedicine and video conferencing.
Bossio says these types of investments into rural healthcare are vital to creating healthier and happier communities.
