People looking for the Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) can get it through the John Howard Society in Minden. Supervisor Shannon Speirs says only certain household qualify.
To find out if you’re eligible, you can go to OESP website. Speirs says people can also call their Minden office.
The program offers monthly credits on your hydro bill. Speirs says the program opened in October so early applicants will start to see the credit in January. However, she says anyone that applies now probably won’t see the credit until February.
