Tourism in Haliburton County has been focusing on social media and Chair of the Tourism Committee, Carol Moffatt says it’s so they can keep adapting to society’s changes. Moffatt says the County has launched new marketing strategies, but it’s the local execution that may need some work. She says asking people around town, and there are common thoughts that customer service is lacking in the community. Moffatt says a pile of people are on board, and they’re doing a great job, but everyone should be working together to make our tourism community the best it can be. Tourism is our main economic driver, says Moffatt, and she thinks it’s good, but there’s a lot that needs to be done for it to be great.
