Residents in Cardiff may need to plan for extra travel time next week.
Starting Monday the streets of Cardiff will be under construction. The Township of Highlands East announced today that they have awarded a contract to Drain Bros. Excavating Limited/Norway Asphalt. Drain Bros. will be resurfacing and improving the roads. The whole process is supposed to last into the middle of November.
The Project Manager, Brian Shorey, says that crews will be working on all of the streets in Cardiff.
While construction is going on, the streets may have isolated closures throughout the day and will be reopened to the public at 6:00pm. As well Drain Bros. says that access to driveways will be restricted in the areas that they are working. Shorey asks that children and pets are kept at a safe distance as the work will include excavating and the use of heavy equipment.
