Highlands O.P.P. out to “Fill a Cruiser” Next Weekend

O.P.P. officers are going to be using their cruisers to feed the hungry in the Highlands.

Police men and women are going to be out in full force on December 1st collecting food for those in need. The O.P.P. say officers will be at several locations from 10:00am to 3:00pm collecting donations. All of the food collected stays in the community it was collected in.

According to the O.P.P. they will in Haliburton at Park’s Foodland and Todd’s Independent Grocer, in Minden Hills, they will be at Dollo’s Foodland and Easton’s Valu-Mart.

Staff Sergeant Lianne Spong, the Detachment Commander, says “the caring nature of this community is reflected in the support of the OPP’s Fill a cruiser event,” adding  “It is vital to remember those people who need a little extra support this holiday season.”
