Minden Hills staff to flush township water system

Minden residents may see discoloured water coming from their taps over the next three weeks.

According to officials, the public works department will begin flushing the township’s water system on June 2. The work is expected to be completed around June 19.

Officials say, during this time residents on the municipal water system, and those who access the public water tap at the Old Fire Hall, may experience low water pressure or discoloured water. Normal discolouration during this process includes rusty or cloudy coloured water.

Anyone experiencing discoloured water is asked to run their tap for several minutes until it clears.
