Province hosting Disaster Recovery Assistance program info session

Parts of Minden Hills, along the Gull River, that were flooded in April are included in the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program.

The province activated the program last month for specific areas of Minden Village impacted by flood damage not covered by insurance. The area spans the Gull River from Deep Bay Road to Highway 35.

According to provincial officials, eligible applicants can receive financial assistance for clean-up expenses, costs to repair or replace essential property and basic emergency expenses like evacuation costs.

The province is hosting a virtual information session on October 14 for those looking for more information on the program. Registration is required.
