With parents getting their kids ready for back to school, Food for Kids is gearing up for another year of Student Nutrition Programs. The organization provides each school in Haliburton County with the volunteers and supplies they need. Coordinator Aaron Walker says the program at the high school is the only one that doesn’t run five days a week.
Walker says they usually struggle to find volunteers for the high school program so increasing the capacity there is a challenge. You can go to their website to find out more about the program, how to donate or get involved.
