Our local snowmobile club will be looking to municipal councils to help fund trail maintenance this winter. President of HCSA Paul Gaudin says they get grants every year, but it can’t be used on club trails.
He says those are the ones that connect the main routes to each town, so they’re important to maintain. With motorized use on the trails in the summer, they need more work to be able to groom them come winter time.
Gaudin says they have plans for projects this year and will be submitting the requests for council to consider in next year’s budgets.
