NewsCouncillors look for solution to Highway 60 traffic problems SHARE ON: Smith Autumn, contributor, Monday, Dec. 14th, 2015Residents along Highway 60 in Algonquin Highlands are turning to council to help solve traffic issues.On a busy weekend, local residents and cottagers are having problems with people walking on their property, dumping garbage and using it as a bathroom. Reeve Carol Moffatt says it’s a real problem because people can be sitting in traffic for four hours. It’s also a concern because emergency vehicles aren’t able to get through.She says they’re looking into talking to MTO about the problem and partnering with Algonquin Park to figure out how to solve it.
