A cold weather warning is in effect for Haliburton County, as well as a snow squall warning.
According to Environment Canada snow squalls are expected to develop. Visibilities will be significantly reduced because of the heavy snow combined with blowing snow.
Meanwhile, a cold front will pass through the regions tonight. A very cold wind chill of minus 35 to minus 40 is expecting to develop overnight and Saturday morning.
The wind chill is expected to improve by Sunday.
