Haliburton OPP is asking snowmobile owners to take extra precaution when leaving their snowmobiles unattended.
An unknown person stole a snowmobile in Huntsville from a parking lot on Monday.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP.
Police say to park snowmobiles in a secure compound, or in a snowmobile trailer if left unattended.
