The new OPP billing model is on the county agenda this morning. Municipalities in the Highlands have all run the numbers on the proposed billing for 2015 and agree small rural communities cannot afford the change. Last month County council asked staff to prepare a report on current police costs, the impact of the proposed costing model and what would be involved in creating a municipal police force. The meeting is in County chambers in Minden at 10:30.
