Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock MPP Laurie Scott wants the council of Dysart et al to support her efforts to call on the provincial government to take immediate steps to combat human trafficking in Ontario.
Reeve Murray Fearrey says Scott has done a great job raising awareness on this issue.
Council members have agreed to pass the resolution.
Scott says Ontario is far behind other provinces when it comes to combatting human trafficking and taking significant action.
