The township of Algonquin Highlands wants to hear your opinion about shipping containers and truck bodies on private land.
This is because the structures have become a popular storage alternative.
Councillors have prepared an amendment to the zoning by-law in order to establish the provisions related to these structures in Algonquin Highlands.
If it doesn’t get passed, any shipping containers or truck bodies will be considered an illegal structure that will need to be removed from subject lands.
Officials say if it’s passed, these structures can only be used for storage, and not sleeping cabins.
