Black smoke was seen rising from Holden Truss Ltd. on Industrial Park Road when Dysart Fire responded to a fire at approximately 5:30 p.m. this evening.
No one was in the building and no injuries have been reported.
Owner Kirk Holden says he noticed the power flickering earlier today around mid-afternoon. He was the last person to leave shortly after 5 p.m.
Approximately one third of the building caught fire and the roof collapsed. Holden and a few of his employees were able to remove some of the equipment from the part of the building that wasn’t on fire.
A Holden Truss employee says he received a phone call around 5:30 p.m. from Haliburton Feed Co. saying there was a fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
