Our local chamber of commerce wants to help raise the profile of the co-op program at the Haliburton Highlands Secondary School.
This initiative came from the Dysart et al Economic Development Committee.
Manager of Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce Autumn Smith thinks this will close the gap in the community.
Smith says the school is in need of more local businesses willing to take on a co-op student for the semester.
She is asking you to help give our students the hard and soft skills they need to succeed in the workplace.
