The Township of Algonquin Highlands is rebranding the airport sign.
Airport Manager Cam Loucks says before a new identification sign is made, he wanted to see if council was interested in renaming the airport.
Loucks says its Stanhope Airport on the radio calls, no one says Haliburton-Stanhope Airport.
He has asked council to point him in the right direction on the desired name that will be displayed on the new township branded airport sign.
Council has agreed to call it Stanhope Municipal Airport.
