Highlands East Council is considering bringing a full-service ATM to Wilberforce.
This comes after an announcement in July, that Scotiabank would be closing its branch in Wilberforce in January.
CAO Shannon Hunter says installing a full-service ATM in Wilberforce would only be needed if the municipality cannot find a new financial institution to operate in the area.
A full-service ATM would not only allow for withdrawals, but also for deposits.
The project is currently in the pre-planning phase, and there is still no word on where the ATM would be located, although council would like to see a local business house the machine.
