Help low-income earners in Halliburton living with dental pain by signing a petition. The Haliburton-Kawartha-Pine Ridge District Health Unit is looking for support from the community as it lobbies the province to expand its dental coverage. The health unit wants this done in two years, instead of by 2025 which is the provincial government’s current plan. The health unit says over 2 million people in Ontario haven’t seen a dentist in a year because they can’t afford it, which affects overall health and well-being.
