NewsDysart et al wants more housing available for college students SHARE ON: Kaitlin Livingston, contributor, Thursday, Jan. 5th, 2017More student housing in Haliburton County could boost enrollment numbers. That’s the message from the Dysart et al Economic Development Committee. The committee predicts a 30 per cent increase in enrollment at the Haliburton School of Art and Design if more rentals were available. However, the college is not going to help fund the project. Dean Sandra Dupret says a previous agreement stops more housing from being built on the same property as the college. The committee is now going to reach out to potential developers to try and make the plan a reality.
