Pickleball players in Haliburton could be getting some extra court time. Algonquin Highlands is putting in a bid to the Ontario Sport and Recreation Communities grant, for two-thousand dollars. If accepted, council will use the cash to establish and promote a weekly drop-in outdoor pickleball program, at the Stanhope Hall. Parks and Rec Manager Chris Card says it will help low income families, older adults and seniors become more physically active.
