The OPP Is Seeing An Increase In Fatal Car Crashes

The number of fatal car crashes in Ontario is on the rise. The OPP says in 2015, 301 people died on Ontario roads, and in 2016 that number was up to 309. ATV deaths are also increasing, going from 14 in 2015 to 23 in 2016. Snowmobiling and boating accident deaths are also going up. The OPP’s Provincial Commander of Traffic Safety, Brad Blair, says the police are truly saddened Ontarians are steering the numbers in the entirely wrong direction He says these numbers are a wake-up call to drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
