Fire crews, EMS and police were scrambled to help two separate incidents involving snowmobiles as warmer temperatures are sweeping across eastern Ontario.

A conservation officer’s snowmobile was upset on Saturday.

He was airlifted to Ottawa with serious injuries to his leg.

The second call, on Carson Lake led to a snowmobile operator being airlifted out to Ottawa on Sunday.

Neither suffered live-threatening injuries.

It comes as snowmobile related incidents were reported across the province this weekend.

Warmer temperatures have led to the closures of many trails across southern and eastern Ontario.
