Minden Hills is closing off Soyers Lake Road because of flooding. It’s open to local traffic only, and will be closed off until further notice. Barricades and signs are up at the Blairhampton and Alexander Road intersections.
Drivers are also asked to avoid any roads that are under water, because they could be unstable and dangerous. The township also notes it’s not monitoring any private roads, so anyone using them should do so with caution.
The township also says to be cautious around lakes, rivers, and ditches, as high water levels can create unstable conditions.
