Highlands East has two new volunteer firefighters.
Council approved the appointments of Cody Lawrence to the fire hall in Gooderham, and Nathan Payne to Station Four in Wilberforce.
Acting Fire Chief Chris Baughman says the department is in good shape, but can always use more recruits.
Baughman adds the challenge is not recruiting new volunteer firefighters, but keeping them long-term is.
