Politicians from over 400 municipalities in the province will be in Ottawa from Sunday to Wednesday.

The Association of Municipalities of Ontario is having its annual conference, which is a chance for municipal officials to meet with ministers from Queen’s Park.

Algonquin Highlands Mayor Carol Moffatt will be there and says a variety of issues affecting the county will be discussed.

Moffatt says she will have a chance to learn how proposed provincial legislative changes could affect the township.

She adds she is keen to hear how Ontario will address the potential legalization of marijuana, which could be legal by July 1st next year if approved in parliament.

The A.M.O. conference happens every year.
