A 20-year-old man will be in court September 6th on three charges, including assaulting an officer.
The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. was called about a vehicle in a ditch along Highway 35 in Algonquin Highlands last Wednesday just after 1:15 a.m.
After chatting with the suspect, the O.P.P. determined he was under the influence of drugs.
The man, from Haldimand County, was charged with impaired driving, assault, and assaulting a peace officer.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
