Two men charged with stunt driving in Minden Hills on the same day

Two men are due in court after being charged for stunt driving by Haliburton Highlands O.P.P.

Both incidents happened Sunday on Highway 35 in Minden Hills.

O.P.P. pulled over a 42-year-old after he was clocked at 148 kilometres an hour by Moores Falls Estates just after 2:00 p.m.

Approximately three and-a-half hours later, police radars clocked a 52-year old at 144 kilometres an hour by Deep Bay Road.

Both suspects have been charged with racing a motor vehicle, and their court dates have not been determined yet.

Both men had their licenses suspended and vehicle impounded as well.

The Ontario Highway Traffic Act says driving 50 kilometres over the posted is considered stunt driving.

It carries a fine of anywhere between $2,000 to $10,000 and a possible license suspension of up to two years.
