The Head of Council for Minden Hills could have a new title by the end of the year.
Minden plans to draft a bylaw in the coming weeks that if passed, would change the head of council’s title from Reeve to Mayor.
Reeve Brent Devolin says this is something councilor, and former Reeve, Jeanne Anthon wanted to do roughly 20 years ago.
Devolin adds he is asked regularly what a reeve is.

The proposed bylaw would also include changing the Deputy Reeve’s title to Deputy Mayor.
A township staff member said in council chambers that the only cost to taxpayers would be changing stationary and business cards.
