OPP REMINDING DRIVERS TO AVOID STUNT DRIVING IN THE SNOW

Snowy roads aren’t an excuse to pull stunts in your car.

That’s a reminder from the O.P.P. as more snow is in the forecast for Haliburton County this week and weekend.

Constable Shawn Peever says doing 50-kilometres over the speed limit isn’t the only thing that classifies as stunt driving.

Peever says the consequences for stunt driving include an immediate seven-day license suspension, vehicle impoundment, and fines ranging from $2,000 up to $10,000.
