Stanhope Farmers’ Market to scale back days of operation for 2018

The Stanhope Farmers Market is making some changes for 2018.

Haliburton County Farmers’ Market Association Chairman Jim Stanley says this year will be a shorter season.

Stanley gave an update to Algonquin Highlands council last week on how the inaugural market in Stanhope went last year.

The market had 34 vendors and reported earnings of $79,096 but Stanley adds that seven vendors did not report their revenues.

Stanley says with 98 per cent of visitors to the market saying they would return, he expects growth this year.
