Haliburton County residents will see a tax increase this year.
The increase will turn into an extra $5.15 per $100,000 of assessed property value.
The country needed to increase the rate to cover a 6.60 per cent shortfall in the levy.
Approximately half of the increase in the levy can be attributed to transportation services.
