Minden Hills ratepayers can expect an increase in their tax bill.
The increase in the levy to cover the shortfall is at 8.61 per cent, which comes out to a jump of approximately $42 on a home assessed at $250,000.
This is lower than the levy in the second round of budget talks, which was at 9.73 per cent.
According to a budget report, 82 per cent of the increase is due to more spending in the roads and landfill departments.
