News Province won’t help Highlands East with funding for realignment of Dyno Road SHARE ON: Kenny Trenton, staff Friday, Mar. 9th, 2018 Photo credit: supplied The province will not be helping Highlands East repair a road in the municipality. Last year, Highlands East applied for $2 million from the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund to realign Dyno Road. Realigning a road is doing work that will make the road less bumpy for drivers. Council learned this week the request was denied. Mayor Dave Burton says the municipality budgeted $50,000 this year for an environmental and engineering assessment. Burton adds work on the road will start next year even without provincial assistance. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/DB-1-1.mp3 Burton adds that $600,000 will be spent next year to improve Dyno Road.
