Minden Hills is moving onto the second phase of its refurbishing of the S.G. Nesbitt Arena.
In an update to council, Mayor Brent Devolin says the Arena Taskforce had a chance to visit some community facilities that were built in the 1970’s.
Devolin, who is on the taskforce, says the arena visits gave the team some good information.
Devolin adds the next step is to hire engineers and consultants but he’s excited to hear what residents want in an upgraded facility.
Council approved the arena renovation project last year with a price tag of $5.5 million.
