Household Hazardous Waste Day is coming up for the Haliburton Landfill Site. On Saturday August 2 anyone with a Landfill User ID Card can drop off their hazardous waste between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The landfill is located on Industrial Park Road.
Acceptable household hazardous waste materials include:
- Latex and oil paints
- Finishing products (varnish, glue, etc.)
- Used Motor Oil
- Auto & household batteries
- Propane tanks
- Propane cylinders
- Cleaners (bleach, oven cleaner, etc.)
- Aerosol cans
- Solvents (varsol, paint thinners, etc.)
- Pesticides & herbicides
- Pool & photographic chemicals
Materials that will NOT be accepted:
- Industrial waste
- Needles/Sharp: PCB’s, Radioactives, Pathological
The Harcourt Landfill site will be holding their Household Hazardous Waste day on Saturday August 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the same materials will be accepted
