The Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. is looking for a man that offered an 11-year-old boy a ride. According to the detachment, the student was offered a ride sometime between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Bobcaygeon Road near Parkside Street in Minden Hills on Tuesday. The youth declined the offer and walked away.
The O.P.P. says the man was driving a full-sized two-door white pickup truck with a black tank in the back. The man is described as being between 40 and 50-years-old with a grey beard, eye glasses and was wearing a grey hat and a black shirt with holes in it. The Haliburton Highlands detachment is looking to speak with the driver or any witnesses who may have been in the area.
