Gooderham Teen Charged in Peterborough

Peterborough Police have charged a teen in connection to a July attempted robbery.

Police officials say that July 17th an unknown person entered a convenience store with their face disguised, the person, holding a knife demanded the cash from the register and when the store clerk did not comply the suspect left the store. He was last seen running north through the parking lot, police were dispatched but were unable to find the suspect.

An investigation led to police identifying the would-be robber, August 20th a 14-year-old Gooderham teen was arrested and charged with robbery with intent, and disguise with intent.

The teen was due in court yesterday, and his name is being withheld under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
