Lakeland Association of Realtors sees increase in July sales and prices

Prices are higher, but sales are going up as well.

That’s the general message from Lakelands Association of Realtors for property sales in Haliburton this past July.

The number of non-waterfront property sales increased by seven to 21 in the past month, with the average price jumping by about $40,000 to $210,000.

Waterfront properties also jumped by five compared to 2017, with 50 sales logged in July. The average price on waterfront properties climbed by about $50,000 to $475,000.

For the entire catchment area of the association, which includes Parry Sound, Haliburton and Orillia, there have been just over 1,600 properties sold this year.
