Anyone looking to go to the Wolf Centre in Haliburton Forest will have to do so on weekends this fall.
The centre will be changing its hours of operation starting Thanksgiving weekend to their fall hours of only being open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
My Haliburton Now spoke with Eden Morrissey, a staff member with the Wolf Centre, and she says that wolves are much more active in the fall and winter and that it is a different experience in those seasons. Eden explained that the wolves during the summer months are much more laidback and thin as they are more accustomed to the cooler seasons, and that makes them less active.
Currently, the Wolf Centre’s hours of operation is 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
