HKPR District Health Unit Wants Your input for the Future

The Health Unit is looking for your input to future plans.

The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is putting out a survey looking to talk to residents about what is important in terms of community health through 2023. It’s all part of creating a new strategic plan for the District.

Among the questions asked in the survey:

  • What does the Health Unit do well?
  • Where can the Health Unit improve?
  • What is the most pressing health issue facing the Health Unit?

“We value people’s input and want them to provide open and honest answers to help us improve what we do for our community,” says Mary Catherine Masciangelo, Director of Corporate Services with the HKPR District Health Unit. “We’re very excited to be carrying out a strategic planning process so that we can identify the key areas that we need to focus on for the next five years.”

The planning process will also seek out comment from staff, related service providers, local health care providers as well as members of the Board of Health.

The survey is served up in a number of ways. People can fill in the survey on the health unit website.

You can also email the health unit – [email protected] to receive a survey they can complete and return.

And for people who like the pen and paper approach, paper versions are available at the Health Unit offices at Health Unit offices in Port Hope (200 Rose Glen Road), Lindsay (108 Angeline Street South) and Haliburton (191 Highland Street, Unit 301).
