News Cutting Edge Science Expo coming to Haliburton Highlands Secondary SHARE ON: Phil McCabe, staff Thursday, Nov. 8th, 2018 Photo credit: supplied High school students are getting the chance to delve into two of the biggest experiments in the world. Next week, the Haliburton Highlands Secondary School will be one of the stops for the Power of Ideas Tour, the tour is making its way across the province. HHSS says that the exhibition gives students a hands-on approach to teaching science. HHSS Principal Chris Boulay says that the event is for the students, adding that the youth will get to go through the exhibition throughout the day. Boulay says that students from Archie Stouffer Elementary, Wilberforce Elementary and JD Hodgson will also get the chance to go as well. Boulay says that Premiere Institue, the organization bringing the exhibition to the area, is providing all of the technology and displays for the students to interact with. The two-day event starts next Wednesday and goes on till Thursday. Boulay said the general public will get the chance to go through the exhibition on the first day of the event, Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm everyone can go through with their family and friends.
