The county is looking to better understand the workforce in the area.
Haliburton County took to Twitter to announce that the Workforce Development Board/Local Employment Planning Council is hosting a new workshop.
According to the WDB/LEPC, who operate in Haliburton Northumberland Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes, the workshop is called “Top industries: Understanding Key Business Sectors in Haliburton”
The goal of the workshop is to bring together employers and services say WDB, who suggests that the event is a “must attend for individuals and organizations looking to further understand the region’s workforce.”
Organizers say the workshop is designed in such a way that it will look at the challenges, and opportunities for building a localized training and skills in the Haliburton area.
As part of the workshop Labour Market Analyst, Andrew Bell of WDB will show attendees a report that details the current employment distribution across the county.
The event starts at 1:00pm Thursday of next week, and its expected to only last an hour. To register for the workshop click here.
