HALIBURTON, ON – A Dysart man has been charged with causing a crash this past Thursday afternoon.

Haliburton Highlands OPP and first responders were called to the scene around 5:00pm on September 12th for a head-on crash on County Road 21 just east of Haliburton in Dysart et al.

Vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when a pickup truck crossed the centre line and struck a passenger van.

The driver of the van suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck, a 32-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in the blood.

The accused will face his charges in court in Minden in November.
