Thirteen cases in total, one man and twelve women, all in the City of Kawartha Lakes, brings the total number of cases in the health unit district to 27. A woman in her 60’s and a woman in her 80’s have been hospitalized and eleven are self-isolating. Still no confirmed cases in Haliburton County. The Public Health Agency of Canada says if efforts like physical distancing, self-isolation and other measures are not taken now, the increase of COVID-19 cases could impact health care resources available to Canadians.
