The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, has more than doubled since Tuesday.
Thirteen cases in total, one man and twelve women, all in the City of Kawartha Lakes, brings the total number of cases in the health unit district to 27.
A woman in her 60’s and a woman in her 80’s have been hospitalized and eleven are self-isolating.
Still no confirmed cases in Haliburton County.
The Public Health Agency of Canada says if efforts like physical distancing, self-isolation and other measures are not taken now, the increase of COVID-19 cases could impact health care resources available to Canadians.
