Highlands East is easing restrictions on landfill sites and at Glamor Lake Park and boat launches.
Starting this weekend, landfill sites will be operating under summer hours.
The bulk material limit implemented May 6, continues to remain in effect. These items include tires, appliances, furniture and mattresses and box springs, but the number of items are limited per visit.
Glamor Lake Park will be available for limited day-use that falls in line with physical distancing rules
. Boat launches at Glamor Lake Park will be open for the long weekend, but the beach will remain closed.
Mayor Dave Burton asks that all Highlands East residents, permanent and seasonal, continue to abide by the public health measures put in place. He also reminds everyone to “avoid non-essential travel, no gatherings, no campfires and be respectful of everyone”.
