Grant application goes through for Minden Hills Active Living Project

Minden Hills Director of Community Services, Mark Coleman is hoping to launch the Minden Hills Active Living Project. He recently received support from council to submit an application to the Ontario Sport Recreation Communities Fund. Coleman wants to introduce four new initiatives to the Township that will help people become more active. He’s looking for a six to eight week fitness program of Zumba or Yoga, a pole walking group, an introduction to snowshoeing course and a bike share program. In his application to the province, he’s asking for just over six thousand dollars. If the application is successful, the project will require a three thousand dollar donation from the township, which Coleman has included in his budget.
