The Ministry of Transportation is reaching out to local municipalities for some input on changing the speed limit on local roads. In a letter to municipalities, the MTO says they’re considering changing the limit from 50 to 40 kilometers per hour. Municipalities are being asked to fill out a questionnaire about changing the limit, keeping it the same or giving each municipality the choice. Once the feedback comes back, they’ll be holding workshops to discuss the options.
